Tanning Practices?
What is the best way of tanning with out soaking up too much UV radiation? I have very fair skin and easily burn. Im not intrested in getting skin cancer anytime soon so I want to find alternative methods of achieving a tan.
Thanks
Tanning is extremely dangerous…. but I love being tan. Help?
No amount of UV radiation is safe and even if one doesn’t get skin cancer in their lifetime, the visible darkening of skin is the result of damaging DNA. So why are so many people out soaking in the rays with no protection?
Any kind of tan is showing you the damage done to your DNA by UV radiation. So no tan is safe, lotion or not.
Laptop Radiation?
I heard that keeping ito n your lap increases your chances of skin cancer. I keep my laptop on my bed while its on and the bed gets hot. Does that mean when I sleep on that bed, my chances of skin cancer will increase? Be honest.
Why the Obama admin is taxing tanning salons for the same reason people go to the beach?
…they want to tax the tanning salons because the risk of skin cancer when people can get the same amount of radiation from the sun when watching their kids at the park or hanging out at the beach…

What are 3 bad things about the sun? (cons)?
Something like the ultra-violet radiation causes skin cancer, or something.
Is it safe to go to tanning salons?
I have fair skin and anytime I go to the beach I get burned, no matter how much sunblock I put. Besides I read a lot of stuff about the danger of ultraviolet radiation from the sun, that it can cause skin cancer, and many other negative sides of tanning. But I want to know how bad for your skin is indoor tanning. And if it is, what are the options then? Not to tan at all??
What does this mean? Has his cancer spread?
So I know that no one is going to give me a diagnosis here, nor am I asking for one. Here’s the deal. Someone I know had been diagnosed with skin cancer a year ago on his chest. He was doing the chemo and radiation and everything. He developed a cough about 7 months ago and has still been unable to get rid of this cough. Being stubborn, he refused to go to the doctor or say anything about it. Last week he became too weak to even get out of the bed. His wife finally forced him to go to the doctor, where they found several black spots on his lungs. Has his skin cancer spread to lung cancer? What are the chances considering one is on the external and the other internal? I know it is rarer for cancer to start off interally and go to the external (skin), but what about the other way around?
He is in the hospital now. No test results back. Just wondering for myself…what should I expect so not to be hit so hard when it does hit.
Is the treatment for cancer…worse than the cancer?
A friend said that his dad had skin cancer…after two years he passed away.
During that time he underwent chemo and radiation treatments. The treatments he said made his dad’s life tough and the chemo plus the radiation made him sick.
He said that his dad would have been better without the treatments. Your thoughts please.
If going through chemo and radiation will improve the odds of you living, then it would be worth the suffering. If not, then should one do it and be in pain?
I am so confused. Help.
UV Radiation and Sunglasses?
Hi. I am looking for a pair of sunglasses, but am not sure about the UV Radiation and which pair is safer, etc… I have looked at Wikipedia and understand that UVA can cause wrinkles and UVB can cause skin cancer and eye diseases. Is it necessary for me to get UVA/UVB protected sunglasses? If so, where (like in the mall) could I find a fashionable pair of UVA/UVB protected sunglasses for guys?
Thanks!
