Thus increasing the cancer risk to the general population?

What is the best treatment for radiation burns from cancer treatment?

My cousin has stage 4 lung cancer and has been on radiation treatments for 3 weeks to reduce tumors. Wondering if anyone can give me information on really good products to help treat the resulting radiation burns.

What is radiation treatment to a cancer patient after giving up the fight?

My mom has suffered with several types of cancer over the past 3 years and now it’s severely deteriorating all of her bones. She broke a bone in her back 2 days ago just by picking up her coffee pot. Her oncologist says there’s nothing more that can be done. Keeping her out of pain and comfortable is now top priority. He’s having her get radiation treatments daily for the next 2 weeks. He says it’s for pain relief. Is that true?

has anyone ever had stage 3 squamous cell cancer and went totally into %100 remission as a result?

I had 2 tumors, one blocking completely my right breathing opening (bronchial tube?) and one lower right lung with lymph node lung cancer.
After 15 radiation treatments aimed at the one blocking my breathing, they said i was %100 percent in remission on both and the cancer was now undetectable.
My Docs (oncologist and radiologist) were pretty baffled and pleasantly surprised.
Anyone ever have that kind of miracle?

My father has COPD and Severe heart problems. starting chemo for lung cancer. What are his chances honestly?

My father stays really sick already. Now with the lung cancer which is stage one he has got worse. Surgery is out because his doctor says he wouldn’t survive it. He is to start chemo and radiation treatments soon. I just am afraid his body is too weak to take the treatments. Need advice

What do I do for a severe radiation burn under my arm that is open and draining? I’m using silvadene cream.

I had 30 radiation treatments(finished last Tues) for breast cancer with lymphnode involvement after having and continuing chemo. (only Hercepton now) But the burn under my right arm is so severe and nothing is helping. It’s most difficult to keep the non-stick gauze in place with the Silvadene Cream because I can’t use any adhesive on my skin in the area. So, I’ve been using a 6 in. Ace bandage around my chest to keep it in place. I don’t know if I should go to the hospital, (maybe they have a better idea) or go to a wound care specialist who has a hyperbaric chamber, which I know is sometimes used for sever burns. You would think the radiology docs would know how to treat this. I’m in so much pain from this it makes me cry. HELP!

Is the treatment for cancer…worse than the cancer?

A friend said that his dad had skin cancer…after two years he passed away.

During that time he underwent chemo and radiation treatments. The treatments he said made his dad’s life tough and the chemo plus the radiation made him sick.

He said that his dad would have been better without the treatments. Your thoughts please.

If going through chemo and radiation will improve the odds of you living, then it would be worth the suffering. If not, then should one do it and be in pain?

I am so confused. Help.

Is there anything wrong with wearing clothes that were worn by a cancer patient that had radiation treatments?

my aunt had lung cancer, and we’re not sure if her clothes are ok to take to a clothing shelf after her wearing them after having radiation treatments.
