prostate cancer- should i choose radiation therapy, or go for removal of the prostate?

I am 61 years old and recently diagnosed with low grade prostate cancer. I have to decide on radiation therapy or complete removal of the prostate. I would like to hear from anyone who can shed some light on this for me. I am leaning toward radiation, but need to know if this therapy makes people sick. All responses will be much appreciated. The “seeds” therapy is not an option for me, due to the size of my prostate. I would like to hear from all.

Radiation therapy has left me with a permonant tan. Anything I can do?

Radiation therapy for my joint cancer has left me with a permanent tan on the treatment area that’s 5 shades darker than the rest of the rest of my skin. My right arm looks like it belongs on a mediteranian and it looks weird when I wear short sleeves. Even packages of the most expensive tanning sprays and lotions cannot get my natural skin tone to match the dark intensity of my radiation tan. I’m only 19 and the treatment area is not in a spot that is easy to cover up all the time. It’s been a year since my last treatment. Is there anything I can do to get my skin color there close to back to normal?
The scar from my surgery looks really bad too because the radiation made it so much darker than it was before. :(

Why should a doctor go to jail for curing a patient with cancer without using radiation therapy.?

It’s against the law to cure any disease and this doesn’t make any sense.
Oh! I forgot about all the billions drug companies would lose.

Why is kidney cancer resistant to radiation therapy and chemotherapy?

BSherman: Please don’t tell me what kidney cancer is, that is not my question. My question is WHY do radiation and chemotherapy have such minimal result if any in kidney cancer. Hopefully now you understand this so complex (to you) question.
