does anyone have any ideas on what foods to try to at least taste something? eating has become a nightmare and am lossing alot of weight any ideas or help would be wonderful.

I had 2 tumors, one blocking completely my right breathing opening (bronchial tube?) and one lower right lung with lymph node lung cancer.
After 15 radiation treatments aimed at the one blocking my breathing, they said i was %100 percent in remission on both and the cancer was now undetectable.
My Docs (oncologist and radiologist) were pretty baffled and pleasantly surprised.
Anyone ever have that kind of miracle?

I was wondering if anyone had links for side effects or could tell me side effects of it? My brother has an abdominal cancer but its spread to other areas and their doing radiation treatment to a tumor on his hip. He can even walk or barely move now after 4 treatments.

She was diagnosed ten years ago and almost died from the chemo and radiation. The cancer was seriously bad and we are so worried since it is back in her lung now. Does anyone have any advice or help with this?

Our cousin was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer and it had already spread to the brain. She went through radiation but refused chemo. I think she did take some sort of pill for chemo… its hard to say because everyone is so secretive. After the radiation they found no trace of cancer in the brain and the lung cancer was shrinking (3 months ago). Now- the cancer is back in three parts of the brain and she has lumps on her neck and back. She is now going to go with the chemo and she is in a lot of pain. Can someone tell me what is most likely going to happen?

My sister has very advanced small cell lung cancer. She has just started on the chemo durrg called Topecan. This is being used as a second line of chemo drugs. The first chemo durgs used were cisplatin and etoposide, then carboplatin and etoposide. The cancer has continued to spread, from the lung to the liver then the bones and now she just went through radiation for several brain tumors-she was diagnosed in November. What side effects should be expected? Is there any other options except clinical trials? At Southwestern, I was told that they had said to my brother in law that “the radiation would kill all the brain tumors.” But it has really taken a toll on her strength, balance etc. Thank you for any information.

My mom’s just getting done with her chemotherapy for breast cancer and she wants to know how other people did with radiation therapy. We’ve been looking up info on the web, but she wants personal stories of how other people did.

What did you do to get through therapy? What made therapy easier to deal with? What kind of side effects did you have?Anything at all you can think of to make therapy easier on her? She’s 67. Thanks in advance.

Trying to decide whether to go through chemo or ,radiation. Doctor removed entire lobe on left side,and told us he thinks he got it all… Tumor was about 21/2 centimeters,on the outside edge of the lobe.

Am cancer survivor 5 years (leukemia). Cancer in neck was squamous skin cancer that traveled from head. Doc took out several pods but thinks 1 small burst before could remove. Not sure need to sink the canoe with the atomic bomb but don’t want cancer to return either. Anybody have radiation before? Anythoughts?
